NEW MATERIAL: A compd. of formula I, (where X=O, S, NR4; R1, R2=H, halogen, CF3, R'=C1-8 thioalkyl or alkoxy; R3=R', C1-14 alkoxyalkoxyalkyl; R4=R', SO2R'; R'=C1-8 alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl, C1-18 aryl; n=0, 1; A = formulae II to V; Y=H, halogen, CF3, C1-8 alkyl or alkoxy; configuration of double bond: E, Z, a mixture of E and Z).

EXAMPLE: [(E,Z)-3-Methoxy-2-[methyl-[1-hoxo-3-(2-trifluoromethyl)-4-thiazolyl]-2- propenyl]amino]-2-propenic acid methyl.

USE: Fungicides.

PROCESS: The compd. of formula I is obtd. by reacting a compd. of formula VI with a strong base and alkyl formate or N-formyl imidazole to obtain a compd. of formula VII, and reacting the compd. of formula VII with an R3 inductor.
