To provide a nickel-hydrogen secondary battery capable of discharging a large current five times or more in an hourly rate.
An electrode group A of a structure comprising a positive electrode 2 in which positive electrode mix mainly comprising nickel compound is carried on a collector sheet, and a negative electrode 1 in which negative electrode mix mainly comprising hydrogen storage alloy is carried on a collector sheet, alternately laminated or rolled through a separator 3, is contained in a battery can 5 with electrolyte, and an opening part of the battery can 5 is sealed with a sealing plate 8 provided with a positive electrode terminal 10. In this case, an end part 1A of the collector sheet of the negative electrode 1, at least, is continuous with the battery can 5 through a collector plate 6a disposed there by welding.
