PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of separating and recovering noble metals from a solution containing noble metals, such as gold, palladium, and platinum.SOLUTION: A noble metal recovery agent adsorbs and/or recovers noble metals from a solution. The recovery agent contains a lignin derivative. A noble metal recovery method includes bringing a liquid containing noble metals and the noble metal recovery agent into contact with each other.
