Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve picture quality and the accuracy of motion detection by setting up the strength of noise reduction in each of still picture processing, animation processing and motion detecting processing so as to optimize respective processing and improving the SN ratio of a received picture.
CONSTITUTION: A delay part 10 fetches a MUSE signal obtained by receiving processing and successively delays the input signal to generate MUSE signals of ±n (where, (n) is an integer) frames. The 1st and 2nd noise reduction parts 11, 12 apply transversal type noise reduction processing to the MUSE signal of the zero frame generated by the dalay part 10 based on the MUSE signals of the n frames.
