Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing resistance to oxidative decomposition reaction as a hydraulic oil, a gear oil and a compressor oil, conforming with reduction or avoidance of an aromatic content, and to provide a lubricant composition obtained by the method.SOLUTION: There is provided a lubricant composition containing alicyclic amine alkoxylate miscible with a base oil and the base oil selected from (a) polyalkylene glycol, (b) polyalphaolefin, (c) naphthenic compound and (d) a combination thereof. The lubricant composition exhibits a viscosity change at 40°C of less than 5 percent (%) after 13 days at 120°C in dry air, indicating significant thermoxidative stability with minimum or no aromatic content. It is preferred that the alicyclic amine alkoxylate is added to the lubricant composition in the range of 100 PPM to 5 wt.% and it is more preferred that the alicyclic amine alkoxylate is added in the range of 1 to 5 wt.%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
