Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact annular seal capable of further reducing a leakage amount of fluid.SOLUTION: A non-contact annular seal performs fluid-tight sealing by reducing a leakage amount of fluid spirally flowing from a high pressure side toward a low pressure side while circulating along a rotation direction of a rotary part in an annular clearance formed between the rotating rotary part and a stationary part provided so as to surround the rotary part. In the non-contact annular seal, on a surface of the stationary part, a seal area is provided, which is arranged so as to face the rotary part; a plurality of holes are formed in the seal area; and parts, which are adjacent to apertures of the holes in lateral faces of the plurality of holes, respectively, are inclined toward a direction facing a leakage flow of spiral fluid.
