Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-linear load boosting circuit that can adjust the amplitude of triangular waves, based on the difference between a feedback voltage and a reference one, thereby to sufficiently shorten the time for reaching a steady state, in a variable triangular-wave generator.
SOLUTION: The non-linear load boosting circuit is provided with a non-linear load, a feedback voltage detector, a PWM circuit, and a power switch. The feedback voltage detector detects a feedback voltage based on a current flowing in the non-linear load. The variable triangular-wave generator in the PWM circuit compares the reference voltage with the feedback voltage and outputs the triangular waves of variable amplitude, to reduce the time required to reach steady state.
