PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration in the magnetic properties caused by internal stress and residual strain in a non-oriented silicon steel sheet without requiring special equipment and deteriorating its productivity.
CONSTITUTION: In the non-oriented silicon steel sheet, surface properties are adjusted in such a manner that, as for surface ruggedness, the three-dimensional surface roughness is regulated to ≤0.5μm by the center face average roughness and the maximum height SRmax is regulated to 0.1 to 2.0μm, furthermore, as for each recessed part, in the case the point (at which the differential coefficient in the load curve other than the points at which cut sectional area ratio is 0% or 100% is the minimum) at which the fall in the depth direction in the load curve is the highest is regarded as the center, the difference in the height direction between two points at which cut sectional area ratio is defferent respectively by ±10% satisfies ≥50% of SRmax and, moreover, the ratio of the flat part in the recessed part expressed by {(the area of the flat part in the recessed part/the unit area)×100} satisfies 30 to 70%.
