To obtain a detergent composition having effective activities of a builder because of excellent in low temperature solubility of a surfactant, and manifesting a high detergent especially to a soil fouling when being coated on clothes by formulating a nonionic surfactant having a specific structure therewith.
The composition contains (A) an EO-PO-EO addition type nonionic surfactant of the formula R1-O-(EO)p-(PO)q-(EO)r-H [R1 is a 10-18C linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl; EO is ethylene oxide; PO is propylene oxide; (p), (q) and (r) are each a number of average addition molecules and satisfy the formulas (p)>0, (r)>0, (p)+(q)+(r)=5 to 14, (p)+(r)=4 to 10, (q)=0.2 to 5 and (p+r)/(q)=(1/1) to (10/1)], (B) an alkali agent (preferably sodium carbonate or the like) and (C) a zeolite [preferably, Na2O.Al2O3.n(SiO2).w'(H2O) [(n) is 1.8-3; (w') is 1-6]. The composition preferably contains 20-90 wt.% of component A, 5-60 wt.% of component B and 5-60 wt.% of component C.
