To provide an non-powered downward conveying device capable of performing smooth downward conveying by an approximately uniform downward conveying time even when articles to be conveyed of various weights are fed at random.

The non-powered downward conveying device is provided with a circular disc member 4a arranged above a feeding position 1; a traction member 7 wound on the circular disc member; a garbage placement base 6 fixed to the feeding position side of the traction member; and a speed adjustment means provided on the other end of the traction member. The speed adjustment means has a cylindrical cylinder 9 with a bottom; a piston 10 liftably provided in the cylinder 9 and connected with the other end of the traction member; a hole part bored on a top plate of the piston; a valve member advanceably/retreatably provided on the hole part and closing the hole part when a lower space of the piston becomes a negative pressure; and an urging means for urging the valve member in a direction retreated from the hole part. It is set such that load applied to the other end of the traction member becomes a weight of the baggage placement base or heavier.
