Title:
NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002329529
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve a self-discharge characteristic of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with a nonaqueous electrolyte containing γ- butyrolactone.

This secondary battery is provided with an armoring material 1 having a thickness of ≤0.3 mm, a positive electrode 6 housed in the armoring material 1, a negative electrode 9 housed in the armoring material 1 and containing a carbonaceous substance capable of storing and releasing lithium ions, and the nonaqueous electrolyte housed in the armoring material 1 and containing a nonaqueous solvent containing γ-butyrolactone and an electrolyte dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent. The battery is characterized in that its voltage drop due to self-discharge at 60°C in a state having discharged by 0.2 C-3 V cut at room temperature is within 1.5 V after three weeks.
