PURPOSE: To provide the titled paint which is nonflammable, nonignitable and odorless, by hydrolyzing aq. colloidal silica and ethyl silicate monomer in the presence of a specified catalyst and mixing an inorg. filler therewith.

CONSTITUTION: The titled paint is obtd. by hydrolyzing 1W30pts.wt. aq. colloidal silica having a silica solid content of 1W40% and 1W5pts. ethyl silicate monomer in the presence of 1W2pts. titanate coupling agent as a catalyst and mixing 60W 70pts. inorg. filler therewith. This paint can be cured by baking at a low temp. of 160°C for a short time (10min), is nonflammable, safe for maintenance and odorless, is not fired by spontaneous heat generation due to overload or does not catch fire, has quality characteristics such as moisture resistance equal or superior to those of conventional paints, and is suitable for use as a coating material for electronic parts exposed to abnormal overload or spontaneous heat generation.
