Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric that has high tensile strength and has a small difference between tensile strength in the machine direction and tensile strength in the cross machine direction and to provide a method for producing the nonwoven fabric.SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric has an inner lamination layer 10 sandwiched between a pair of carded fiber web layers 3. The inner lamination layer 10 is formed by laminating a plurality of pulp fibers 2 on a spun-bonded nonwoven material 1 formed by a spun-bonding method so that a plurality of binding fibers are elongated in a machine direction and in a cross machine direction. The pair of carded fiber web layers 3 is composed of a plurality of carded fibers that are carded along the machine direction and have a length longer than 10 mm. A part of the carded fibers entangles a part of the pulp fibers, and a part of the carded fibers entangles a part of the binding fibers. The tensile strength in the machine direction is equal to or less than four times the tensile strength in the cross machine direction.
