Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nonwoven fabric for a semipermeable membrane support, which is made homogeneous in thickness and air permeability by suppressing thermal shrinkage at a hot-press processing time while satisfying such a strength at a wet time as is required for nonwoven fabric for a semipermeable membrane support.SOLUTION: Nonwoven fabric for a semipermeable membrane support is nonwoven fabric made of main fibers of pulp fibers composed mainly of a cellulose component and organic synthetic fibers so that a semipermeable membrane is supported on one face of said nonwoven fabric, wherein the content of the pulp fibers composed mainly of the cellulose component of said nonwoven fabric is 5 to 40 mass% of the total mass of said nonwoven fabric.
