Title:
NORMAL POSITION ROTATION TRANSPORTING DEVICE AND FLAW DETECTING DEVICE FOR MAGNETIC SPHERE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3436988
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a flaw detecting device for a magnetic sphere of high sensitivity, long-life and law price by resolving problems of abrasion of magnetic sphere supporting point, insufficient rotation force and fluctuation of rotational axis.
CONSTITUTION: In lapping oil 0, a stabilizer S containing flaw detecting electrodes E1, E2, E3 and a generally hemisphere recessed part is clamped between the magnetic pole piece of bottom side rotational magnetic field generating units 7a and upper side rotational magnetic field generating units 7b for assignment. A magnetic sphere B3 placed between them is made to contact an upper side nonmagnetic material plate Gu, for rotation in the recessed part of the stabilizer S, so that the electrode E2 detects the flaw of a sphere B3. With this, the rotational force of the sphere B3 and the attracting force into the center of rotational magnetic field are doubled compared to conventional one, for rapid transportation to a normal point, so that abrasion of the plate Gu is prevented. Further, thanks to the oil 0 and stabilizer S, the fluctuation of rotational axis is reduced, so that the gaps between the electrodes E1, E2, E3 and the sphere B3 can be narrower, for high sensitive flaw detection.
