CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [X is halogen; (n) is 0 to 3; Z1, Z2 are N, CH (not CH simultaneously); R1 and R2 are H, halogen, mono or dialkylamino, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio; A is O, N-B (B is OH, alkylcarbonyloxy, alkoxy; Y is H, OH, alkoxy, alkenoxy, alkinoxy, alkylthio, aryloxy, aralkyloxy, arylthio, pryidylthio, thienyloxy)] and salts thereof, for example, 1fluoro-(4,6- dimethoxypyrimidinyl-2-oxy)-1-cyclopentanecarboxylic aicd. The compound of formula I wherein A is O is obtained by reaction of a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III (U is halogen, etc.). The compounds of formula IV (V is H, alkyl, aralkyl, etc.) in which the compound of formula II is included are novel compounds.
