To provide a noxious animal repellent material which manifests repellent effect for sufficiently long time by slowly evaporating it.
A solid silic acid (S1) is formed by utilizing an industrial waste material from which clay for chinaware is collected, treating with sulfuric acid. Subsequently, this solid silic acid is added to and mixed (S2) with the repellent substance. A noxious animal repellent material is formed by supporting the repellent substance on the solid silicic acid. Naphthalene, zinc diethylcarbamate, sym-di-ortho-tolylthiourea and tetramethylthouram disulfide is used as a repellent substance. The solid silic acid treated with acid is extremely porous and excellent in absorbability. The repellent substance evaporates slowly because this noxious animal repellent substance is suppored on solid silic acid.
