Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new DNA molecule useful for producing apoaequorin used as a marker in the chemical and biological assays.
CONSTITUTION: This new DNA molecule is an isolated DNA molecule having a nucleotide sequence coding for a peptide of the formula. This DNA is produced by chemical synthesis, and thereafter, the resulting gene is inserted into a DNA vector by a known recombinant DNA technique, and the aimed protein apoaequorin is produced in recipient bacteria as microorganisms.
