Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the numerical controller which is suitable for an unmanned system by providing a means which associates the movement of a table and the movement of a head with each other during automatic operation and sets a coordinate plane and a tool at right angles to each other. CONSTITUTION:An association command signal for associating the movement of the head 4 and the movement of the table 5 with each other during the automatic operation and setting the tool 1 and coordinate plate at right angles is inputted and then the angle of rotation of the head 4 and the angle of rotation of the table 5 are calculated to output a command for rotating the head 4 and table 5, thereby automatically controlling the coordinate plate 3 and tool 1 into perpendicular relation. When manual operation is performed, the movement quantity of the head 4 and the movement quantity of the table 5 are calculated on inputting the signal for associating with the movement of the head 4 and the movement of the table 5 and at the same time, the angle of the head 4 which is viewed sideward is calculated and displayed. Therefore, the tool 1 and coordinate plate 3 can automatically be set perpendicular, so the numerical controller for a machine tool which is suitable for the unmanned system is obtained.
