To provide a nurse call system which makes it difficult for a suspicious person to intrude into a sickroom without installing an electric lock to an individual sickroom, and furthermore, even if a suspicious person intrudes into the sickroom, the system reports it to a nurse or the like.
The nurse call system includes an RFID tag 6 on which prescribed ID information is recorded and which is carried by a patient and a nurse or the like, an RFID reader 7 for reading the RFID tag 6 of a person who enters a sickroom and transmitting the information to a corridor lamp 2, and a human sensor 5 for sensing the presence of a person present in the sickroom and transmitting sensing information to the corridor lamp 2. When prescribed information is not transmitted from the RFID reader 7 even though the human sensor 5 senses the presence of a person, a corridor lamp CPU 23 transmits at least an alarm signal to a nurse call slave unit 1 and an alarm sound is sounded from the slave unit speaker 12 of the nurse call slave unit 1.
