To provide a nylon denim unconventionally highly excellent in lightweight feeling despite having water absorbability comparable to cotton and standing comparison with conventional woven fabrics in terms of touch feeling, and to provide a method for producing the nylon denim.
The nylon denim is a woven fabric comprising spun yarns of hollow nylon staple fibers, being ≤400 g/m2 in basis weight and ≥0.75 in clo value indicating the thermal insulation defined in the Specification Text. The method for producing the nylon denim using spun yarns of sheath/core-type conjugate staple fibers with a polyamide as the sheath component and a polyester as the core component comprises treating the spun yarns with a hot alkali solution in their dyeing step followed by undergoing weaving, or weaving the spun yarns followed by undergoing treatment with a hot alkali solution.
