Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the abrasive strength, water holding property, and soft feeling by weaving or knitting threads each entanglingly wound with longer fibers on a metal flat wire to form a scrub brush texture, and forming piles of the flat metal wire wound with the fibers on the surface of the texture.
CONSTITUTION: A metal such as aluminum, copper, or nickel is deposited by evaporation on a film tape of a soft synthetic resin such as nyron to form a metal flat wire 1a. Several natural or synthetic fibers 1b made of a polyester resin, for example, are entanglingly wound on the metal flat wire 1a to form a thread. The threads are woven or knitted to form a scrub brush texture 10 exposed with piles 2... of the metal flat wire 1a on the surface. The texture 10 is folded for use, or it is formed into a bag 20, and a sponge core 21 is sealed in it for use.
