Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly-reliable detection of an object with an inexpensive construction, by executing detection of a human body by an ultrasonic sensor after a human body detection output of a pyroelectric type infrared sensor having a detecting range containing the detecting range of the ultrasonic sensor is made. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic sensor 1 having a first detecting range and a pyroelectric type infrared sensor 2 having a second detecting range containing the first detecting range are provided and RAM 3 stores output information of the ultrasonic sensor 1 in a state wherein an object such as a human body is not present in the first detecting range. A first control part 40 generates an output of control of a load in response to outputs of object detection from the infrared sensor 2 and the ultrasonic sensor 1. In a state wherein a control output from the first control part 40 stops, the information based on the output of the ultrasonic sensor 1 and showing the state in the first detecting range and the information stored in the RAM 3 are compared with each other and the information of the RAM 3 is updated when there is a difference between them.
