Abstract:

PURPOSE:To shorten an image processing time, by picking up the slit pattern obtained by projecting slit beam on a plurality of objects by a TV camera and dividing the obtained slit image into the regions of the slit image of a single object or the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The beam L of a slit beam source 1 is projected on objects B1, B2 while a mirror 2 is rotated and the images of said objects are picked up by a TV camera 3 to obtain a plurality of slit images Pi, Pi'. The continuity of the slit images Pi, Pi' of a plurality of the objects B1, B2 is investigated and, when the slit P0 extending over two objects B1, B2 is present, said images Pi, Pi' are divided into the regions of the slit images of a single object or on the surface thereof. The divided slit images are inputted to the memory of CPU and operated to detect the images of the objects. By this method, the slit images are divided into the regions of the single object or the surface there of an image processing time is shortened to a large extent.
