Abstract:
To make it possible to accurately identify the type of a target.SOLUTION: A target identification device includes: a radar unit 2 including a transmission unit 21 that transmits a radio wave to a detection target area and a reception unit 23 that receives a radio wave from the detection target area; a frequency analysis unit 31 that analyzes frequencies of radar data output from the radar unit 2 and outputs a frequency spectrum; a speed calculation unit 33 that calculates relative speeds of radar signal points for a target moving in the detection target area based on the frequency spectrum; and an identification unit 7 that determines the type of the target using at least one of skewness and kurtosis of distribution of values of the relative speeds of the respective radar signal points for the target.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
