To provide an observation sample preparation device and a preparation method capable of preparing in an excellent state, an observation sample formed by immobilizing a nano-material on a substrate.
A voltage is applied between a nano-material dispersion 13 inside a nozzle 20 for electrostatic spraying and the observation substrate 10, and the nano-material is immobilized on the substrate 10 by electrostatic spraying of the dispersion 13, drying, and electrostatic adhesion of the nano-material, to thereby prepare the observation sample. A reference electrode 81 is provided under the substrate 10, relative to the observation substrate 10 having a conductive grid part 11 and a support film 12, and a bias voltage having the same polarity as the voltage for electrostatic spraying is applied to the grid part 11 of the substrate 10, to thereby adjust an immobilization position of the nano-material on the substrate 10. Hereby, the observation sample of the nano-material in the excellent state can be prepared.
