Abstract:

To improve occupant restraining performance of a far side airbag, and easily secure storage space of the far side airbag.

In an occupant protection device 10 for a vehicle, an inflated and deployed roof airbag 46 contacts with an upper part of an inflated and deployed far side airbag 32 from an inner side of the vehicle in a vehicle width direction. Thereby, when an occupant P is restrained by the far side airbag 32, the upper part of the far side airbag 32 is supported by the roof airbag 46 from the inner side of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction so that movement of the far side airbag 32 into the inner side of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction can be suppressed. The roof airbag 46 with small capacity is stored in a ceiling part 40 of the vehicle and the far side airbag 32 restraining the occupant P is stored in a side part 20A of a seat back 20, which is the inner side of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction so that storage space of the far side airbag 32 is easily secured.
