To provide an oil-cooled air compressor for improving quality and reliability, without enlarging a device, by avoiding the problem by foaming of lubricating oil caused by sudden reduction in internal pressure, when stopping the device, even if the air compressor becomes a high pressure specification.
This oil-cooled air compressor has a compressor body 1 compressing air, an oil separator 2 separating and storing oil mixed in compressed air from this compressor body 1, an oil pipe 11 constituting an oil circulating passage for supplying the oil separated by this oil separator 2 to the compressor body 1, an oil cooler 6 arranged in an oil supply system and cooling the oil flowing in the oil pipe 11, a first bypass pipe 14 bypassing this oil cooler 6, a temperature adjusting valve 22 controlling a flow of the oil flowing in the oil cooler 6 and the first bypass pipe 14, valve means 7 and 8 respectively arranged on the upstream side and the downstream side of the oil cooler 6 and a second bypass pipe 15 bypassing one valve means 8 of these valve means 7 and 8 and having a diameter smaller than the oil pipe 11, to reduce an oil quantity returning to the oil separator 2 after stopping operation of the compressor body 1.
