Abstract:
To provide a highly reliable seal device and a pump, for maintaining a stable sliding characteristic and sealability over a long period, by surely preventing an inclination of a seat ring for sliding with a seal ring, when sealing a high pressure fluid.
This seal device includes a flange fixed to a rotary shaft, the seal ring fixed to this flange, a housing having a cover arranged outside the rotary shaft so as to surround the flange, the seat ring for sliding with the seal ring and a stationary ring for pressing this seat ring. A metallic ring having a hole part for inserting a pin arranged in the stationary ring, is arranged on the outer peripheral side of the seat ring, and the seat ring is independently arranged to the stationary ring.
