Title:
OIL-COOLED COMPRESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3888948
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-cooled compressor that can prevent an outward splash of oil upon atmospheric release of compressed air and reliably return oil separated from the compressed air, released to the atmosphere to a secondary side of an intake control valve, without adversely influencing the intake control valve.
SOLUTION: The oil-cooled compressor 1 comprises the intake control valve 14 on a suction side of an oil-cooled compressor body 11, an oil separator/collector 16 on a discharge side of the compressor body 11, a release line 19 for releasing, to the atmosphere, compressed air from the oil separator/collector 16 that separates oil from it, and a bottomed outer cylinder 24 encircling a tip end of the release line 19. An oil return line 26 is defined to connect the bottom of the outer cylinder 11 to a portion of a suction line 12 between the intake control valve 14 and the compressor body 11.
