To provide an oil-impregnated sintered bearing which can fully close pores exposed on the end face (including a chamfered portion) of the bearing made of sintered metal, and can suppress the leakage of lubricant from the end face, and is excellent in sliding performance.
The oil-impregnated sintered bearing 1 is configured by impregnating the porous bearing body 2 made of a sintered metal with lubricating oil or lubricating grease. A ceramic sealing film 3 is formed on the end face 2a (including the chamfered portion 2b of the end face) of the bearing body 2 in the axial direction by the aerosol deposition method. The sealing film 3 uses alumina fine powder as a material of aerosol, and has a film thickness of 5 to 7 μm.
