Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a stable filtering function by restraining horizontal oscillation of a coil spring forming a filter.SOLUTION: The oil strainer comprises: a strainer body (3) made by jointing edges of a first split body (3a) and a second split body (3b) with each other; and a coil spring (5) as a filter housed in an oil flow space (S) in the strainer body (3). An oil flow pipe part (11) is formed on the first split body (3a), and opened toward the second split body (3b) on the oil flow space (S) side. The coil spring (5) is fixed while it is sandwiched between an outer peripheral portion of the oil flow pipe part (11) in the lower split body (3a) and a portion of the second split body (3b) opposed to it and compression-deformed. A plate-like projection piece (47) inserted in an interior space of the coil spring (5) in contact with or adjacent to an inner periphery of the coil spring (5) projects on the second split body (3b).
