Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkali silicate compsn. which does not need a complicated in-situ mixing process, which is homogeneous and has enough hardness, which can maintain the fluidity and usable time required for building work, which can prevent efflorescence and which shows improved water resistance.
SOLUTION: Four powdery components described below are homogeneously mixed in one pack state. The four components are a powdery alkali silicate which is soluble in water and is expressed by M2O.SiO2.qH2O, wherein M is one alkali metal element of Li, Na and K, a powdery barium salt expressed by BaO.rSiO2.sH2O having a soluble content of barium ion in an alkali soln., a powdery silicon phosphate expressed by tSiO2.P2O5 having slow-releasing property of the phosphate component, and a reactive powdery aluminum oxide hydrate expressed by Al2O3.uH2O. The components are mixed in such a manner that to 100 pts.wt. of the alkali silicate, the barium component, phosphate component and aluminum component are mixed by 0.1 to 10 pts.wt., 1 to 40 pts.wt., and 10 to 50 pts.wt., respectively.
