To provide an operating jig used for useful artificial hip joint replacing operation.
The head (210) of the operating jig (140) includes a jig positional aligning means having an elongated rod form acting as a spacer (142). The spacer (142) has an end (211). The end (211) is brought into contact with the fossa trochanterica to arrange the slot (143) of the jig (140) at a necessary position. A further jig positional aligning means is provided by a surface (212) constituted so as to receive the constituent part of a bone. This surface (212) is provided by the contour (146) of the base of the head (210) constituted so as to be combined with the contour of a femur. The slot (143) is almost vertically oriented with respect to the longitudinal direction of a rod (142) to function as an operating appliance guide means. This operating jig is preferable because osteotomy is performed in a state that a caput femoris part (3) is still arranged in the acetabulum.
