Abstract:
To detect curvature of a connecting rod before a housing part and the connecting rod come into contact with each other (in other words, before damage occurs due to contact).SOLUTION: An operation control device 20 is provided in an engine 1 comprising a piston 5 and a crankshaft 6. The operation control device 20 comprises: a sensor 21 provided on a lower part of a cylindrical cylinder liner 3 internally housing a connecting rod 4 connecting the piston 5 and the crankshaft 6, and for detecting the position of the connecting rod 4; and a determination unit for determining whether a positional relation between the cylinder line 3 and the connecting rod 4 falls within a predetermined range or not, on the basis of the position of the connecting rod 4 detected by the sensor 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
