To provide an operation device for an industrial machine that limits a circuit current of an electric circuit of an operating knob when an overcurrent occurs, and doing away with replacement works of a fuse or the like by dint of automatic release of limit of the circuit current.
The operation device for the industrial machine includes: an operating lever 1 arranged at the industrial machine; a grip part 3 formed at a tip end of the operating lever; an operating knob 4 formed at the grip part; and an electric circuit board 5 arranged in the grip part 3 to form a given electric circuit in accordance with an operation of the operating knob 4 and having the industrial machine or an equipment fitted to the industrial machine perform another given operation. The electric circuit of the electric circuit board 5 has an overcurrent protection element 11 connected capable of restraining overcurrent by limiting the circuit current as a resistance value increases by temperature rise due to the overcurrent, and capable of releasing limit of the circuit current as a resistance value change is reversible to return to the original resistance value by fall of the temperature.
