Abstract:
PURPOSE:To generate an operation manual quickly by reproducing pictures on a basis of trace results of input procedures for an example and retrieving explanatory sentences from a prescribed dictionary and displaying them together with a cursor. CONSTITUTION:Data obtained by tracing procedures 4 based on the example by an operation trace program 5 are stored in an operation trace file 9, and meanwhile, explanatory sentences corresponding to various operations are stored in a sentence pattern dictionary 7,and display items of input/output of each picture used by conversational software or the like are provided in a message definition field 8. A documentation program 10 checks the definition field 8 on a basis of data in the file 9 and selects explanatory sentences from the dictionary 7 and synthesizes them in accordance with indications in data and stores them in an explanatory sentence file 11, and they are displayed together with the cursor and are corrected, added, and delected by a correcting, adding, and deleting means 14.
