Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation support device for helicopter capable of reducing the dead angle of a pilot in the case of landing or rescue activity.
SOLUTION: Image pickup means 3, 4 are fitted to an airframe of helicopter on the extension of a visual line of a pilot. The image pickup means 3, 4 are fitted with a space nearly equal to a space between the eyes of the pilot, and has a fisheye lens. A HMD2 is installed in a helmet 13 of the pilot, and a visual line detecting sensor 18 is fitted to the helmet 13. Singles from the visual line detecting sensor 14 and the image pickup means 3, 4 are input to a computing means 14, and an image corresponding to the visual line direction of the pilot is taken on the basis of these signals, and displayed in the HMD2.
