Abstract:
To provide a laser alignment system, which utilizes an electric power source located outside a laser arbor in order to solve a problem of a battery life.
The laser arbor includes a generator for generating electric power when a saw blade and the laser arbor are rotated by a spindle. The generator includes a stator having electromagnets or permanent magnets mounted on a fixed portion of a saw. Other part of the generator is a rotor including a coil, which rotates together with the laser arbor to generate the electric power for laser. The electric power is supplied to the laser device from the fixed electric power source via contact points of a slip ring for the laser arbor.
