Title:
OPTICAL COORDINATE READER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3545849
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical coordinate reader which can surely detects only the coordinate point of a selected photocell.
SOLUTION: A photocell group 22 includes photocells which consist of plural 1st electrodes, plural 2nd electrodes which are arrayed orthogonally to the 1st electrodes and the semiconductor layers formed at the cross parts between the 1st and 2nd electrodes and are arrayed in a matrix form. These photocells are scanned by a scanning circuit 23 and sequentially selected. The optical electromotive force of a selected photocell is amplified by an amplifier circuit 25 and then outputted. The cathode and anode bias voltage B1 and B2, i.e., the inverse bias voltage larger than the absolute value of the optical electromotive force generated by the photocell are applied to the photocell that is not selected by the circuit 23 from a bias generation circuit 27. This photocell does not function as a cell any more. Therefore, the optical electromotive force of only the desired photocell is detected and a coordinate point can surely be detected.
