Title:
OPTICAL CURRENT TRANSFORMER SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004045196
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an optical current transformer system which can be made small without saturating iron core, even if an excessive accident electric current flows to a conductor.

The system comprises an iron core 3 surrounding a laid conductor L, a secondary winding 3a and a compensating winding 3b wound around the iron core 3, a magnetic detection means 7 connected with the compensating winding 3b and detecting a magnetic flux occurring in the iron core 3, a magnetism balancing means 8 for supplying the secondary winding 3a with a current compensating a variation in magnetic flux occuring in the iron core 3 according to the detection results of the magnetic detection means 7, a power supply means 9 for supplying power to the magnetic detection means 7 and the magnetism balancing means 8, and optical modulation means 10 and 11 connected with the secondary winding 3a, generating an optical modulation signal proportional to an induction current flowing through the secondary winding 3a and outputting it to a transmission line extending outward.
