Abstract:

To provide an optical deflector in which the deflection angle of a mirror is increased and a two-axis deflection is made possible.

The optical deflector 10 includes: a mirror 12 of which at least the surface side deflects light; at least a pair of driving means 20 provided to the positions which are close to the side edge part of the back face side of the mirror 12 and axisymmetric to the center line T of the mirror 12; a pair of supporting shafts 14 which are formed of a restorable material and provided to the side edge part of the mirror 12 so as to be closer to the driving means 20 than the center O of the mirror 12 and extending in the direction orthogonal to the center line T; and a frame body 16 of which the supporting shafts 14 are pivotally supported.
