Title:
OPTICAL DISK RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3843782
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording/reproducing device which can perform highly accurate disk rotation control and acquire information on a correct address even in a recorded region by appropriately correcting the influence of the change of an RF signal to a PP(push-pull) signal.
SOLUTION: The optical disk recording/reproducing device includes a split optical sensor 1 comprising a first element 2 and a second element 3 split by a parting line optically parallel to the tangential direction of a recording track for receiving reflected light from the optical disk, a first means 5 to generated a differential signal indicating an information signal, a second means 4 to generate a light quantity sum signal which changes corresponding to the total quantity of reflected light from an optical disk and indicates recorded data, a variable gain amplification means 8 to control the output signal level of the first means 5, a maximum level detecting means 6 to detect the maximum light quantity sum signal d, and a control signal generating means 7 which generates a control signal f to control the gain of the variable gain amplification means 8 on the basis of the current level of the light quantity sum signal to the maximum e of the light quantity sum signal detected by the maximum level detecting means 6.
