Title:
OPTICAL DISK PLAYER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002245710
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve the problem that in an optical disk player in which a plurality of optical disks are housed, a random playback is interrupted in a pause state when an interactive optical disk is selected as a disk to be randomly played back.

The optical disk player is provided with an operating means to specify an optical disk being an object for a random playback, a storage means to store the kind of the optical disk made to correspond to the disk storing position number, a control means, and a clocking means. The control means randomly selects a piece of music in the optical disk on the basis of the index information of the selected optical disk, and performs control to start the playback. In the case where the selected optical disk is not a compact disk digital audio, the clocking means clocks time until the playback start after the playback start is instructed by the control means. When the clocked time exceeds predetermined time, the control means releases the playback start indication of the optical disk, randomly selects an optical disk being an object for another random playback to play back it.
