Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber that can reduce bending loss without increasing connection loss and be manufactured easily.SOLUTION: Refractive index Δ1 and maximum refractive index Δ1 max of a core 1, refractive index Δ2 and minimum refractive index Δ2 min of an inner cladding part 2, and refractive index Δ3 of an outer cladding part 3 satisfy the following relation. Δ1 max>Δ2 min, and Δ1 max>Δ3, 0.01%≤|Δ2 min-Δ3|≤0.03%. Circumferential radius r1 of the core, circumferential radius r2 of the inner cladding part, and circumferential radius r3 of the outer cladding part satisfy the following relation. r1Δ3>Δ2 min, 0.01%≤(Δ3-Δ2 min)≤0.03%, 0.33%≤Δ1 max≤0.40%, and 6.8≤MFD/λcc≤7.61 are satisfied.
