PURPOSE: To obtain an optical filter remote switching device having a sufficient function, by a simple constitution, by connecting a selecting switch to a motor driving circuit for turning a freely turnable filter frame provided with optical filters on the same circumference.

CONSTITUTION: On a filter frame 1, tri-color filters 2W4 are provided at uniform angles, and are rotated by a motor 11 through gears 5, 7. For instance, when an operating switch 21 is closed in a state that the red filter 2 has been inserted, electric power charged to a capacitor by an electric power supply 17 rotates the motor 11 through contacts 14a, 14c, and the operating switch 21, and rotates a cam 8 and the frame 1 through a transmission device 18. When the blue filter 4 is rotated up to a prescribed position, a switch 14 is operated, the contact 14a is opened, supply of electric power is stopped, and simultaneously the contact 14b is closed, counter electromotive force between both terminals (a), (b) of the motor 11 is closed, the motor 11 is stopped quickly, and the blue filter 4 is fixed. In this way, a sufficient function can be obtained by a simple constitution.
