The optical glass contains 10-20% B2O3, 0.5-12% SiO2, 5-19% ZnO, 2.5-17% Ta2O5, 0.2-3% Li2O, 0.6-4.9% ZrO2, 1-20% WO3, 25-50% La2O3, 0-13% Gd2O3 and 0.2-20% Y2O3 (provided that La2O3+Gd2O3+Y2O3=35-60%) by mass% on the basis of an oxide, and also Nb2O5 is not contained substantially, and also a refractive index nd is 1.82-1.86, an Abbe number νd is 37-44 and a glass transition point (Tg) is ≤630°C.
