To provide an optical interconnection apparatus that can securely make interconnection among many constituent elements between chips or boards under simple control, and has scalability capable of coping with a large scale.
The optical interconnection apparatus 1 is equipped with an input part 2 having input channels 2a, an output part 3 having output channels 3a, and an optical fiber array module 1 having optical fibers 13a connecting channels to each other, and the optical fiber module 1 is divided into (n) groups having optical fibers at least (n) (n: an integer of ≥2) times as many as the input channels 2a, and given (n) topologies between input and output while the groups are made different in style of arrangement style of output ends to input ends of the optical fibers; and one desired topology is selected and input light is outputted to respective channels 3a of the output part 3 after passing through one group of selected optical fibers 13a from the respective channels 2a of the input part 2.
