Abstract:
To provide an optical member which can be freely arranged to a UV light-emitting lamp or the periphery thereof, is highly resistant to light of shorter wavelength than 300 nm, and is not mixed with the emission by 185 nm excitation light.
An optical member 2 is formed which is composed of a synthetic quartz glass containing Pr3+ (trivalent praseodymium) activated aluminate, is a separate body from a UV light-emission lamp (low-pressure mercury lamp) 10, and is arranged around the UV light-emission lamp (low-pressure mercury lamp) 10.
