To universally deal with forming dies of different heights and to improve the efficiency of press forming work by heating, pressurizing and forming die blank composites, reading pressurization information and controlling pressurizing means according thereto.
The die blank composites 52 arranged with optical blanks in the forming dies take in transport bodies 51 held by a transporting member 40 into the apparatus by a shutter 4a of the supply section 4 of the lens forming apparatus 100. A reading sensor 18 reads a pressurization code 41. The read detection signal is sent to a controller 17. The transport bodies 51 are sent to a heating up section 14. A heating device 14a heats the transport bodies up to a prescribed temperature. A temperature sensor 14b detects the temperature and sends the same to the controller 17. Similarly, the transport bodies are fed to a high-temperature pressurizing section 15. The optical blanks are press formed to a prescribed lens form in the section. The optical blanks are then transported to a temperature lowering section 16. A heating device 16a lowers the temperature down to a prescribed temperature. The transport bodies 51 are taken outside from the shutter 5a of a take-out section 5.
